EKFI PLUS project
The main objective of "Innovation through cooperation" is to bring together educators, lecturers and teachers, scientists from different European countries, who will work together in developing and authoring the learning materials at European/international level. More collaboration in the development process can be achieved through the extension of the existing EKFI platform, which supports authors in the collaborative development of learning materials. The extended platform now includes tools to enhance and support collaboration so that teachers/authors can work together to develop the learning material. By organising this development process through a educational (pedagogical) model, learning materials can be developed in groups, which leads to an increase in efficiency (saving time and money) and an increase in the quality and innovation of the learning materials by using the different competences of the participants and developing them in a structured way. The EKFI PLUS project is funded by the Erasmus + of the EU.
Developments
We developed: an educational model for teachers to develop learning material an efficient way, with the latest didactic insights in an team; ICT tools integrated in the EKFI platform (ekfi.eu) to support: searching for teachers with the same development needs, developing learning materials supported by the content of the educational model , project management and social interaction (process management) between the participants in the team and we developed 2 new modules learning material (on Mixed reality in Print, Sign and Packagingmedia and Circular economy) with two international teams of teachers/developers to evaluate the model and the integrated tools on the EKFI-platform. Also we organized the dissemination of the project to introduce relevant stakeholders to the EKFI-platform and the project: Innovation through cooperation and to encourage them to initiate new projects to develop learning materials using the platform (ekfi.eu).
Concrete outputs of the EKFI PLUS project
During the project we have developed four results in the work packages, namely:
- WP2 an educational model and mapping guide for teachers to work in an efficient way and with the latest didactic insights in developing learning material in an (international) team; research (inventory) on most relevant topics in the industry.
- WP3 software as an integrated part of EKFI-platform (E-tools) supporting search for pears and defining the request, developing learning material using the results of output 1, project management and process management between the participants in the development group.
- WP4 develop new technical/digital learning material on Mixed reality in Print, Sign and Packaging media.
- WP5 develop new entrepreneurial/management learning material on Circular economy in creative industry. In WP3 and 4 we used and evaluated the output of WP1 and 2.
By establishing contacts with schools/teachers and other stakeholders in a structural manner, we encourage collaboration in the development and exchange of learning materials. The tools that support development teams will be freely accessible via ekfi.eu, as well as the report on the education model and the learning resources developed.
